In my innocence I fell under a spell
love casting shadows of uncertainty
for in my body your spirit does dwell
locked in my heart for all eternity
On the wings of night, I silently cried
willingly falling from heaven's grace
minor injuries, suffering wounded pride
longing to be wrapped in your embrace
Torn wing falling to earth's harshness
searching dark pools, reflective eyes
flickers of hope, flashes of brightness
visions of inner peace, my spirit rises
Distance bell rings, spreading my wings
in my heart loves grows, I begin to sing

i am glad that even after the fall from grace and singed wings the angel still finds a peace and a willingness to sing...imagine falling from heaven to earth...what a change eh? smiles.
ReplyDeleteHi Brian,
DeleteI imagine it would be quite the experience to come to earth and see all that happens here..I am sure the angel would weep.
There is always the fervent hope that love can be reactivated. A little effort is necessary to make things move though! Great write Truedessa!
