Wonderland World of Madness

Lost dreamer exploring corridors of her mind
falling head first portal of madness , unconfined

White rabbit caught, rotating hands of time
no hello's,  no goodbyes, late absurd crime

Mad Hatter invitation for tea, mayhem at six
quick with a quip, magical hat bizarre tricks

Mysterious Cheshire Cat, disappearing with a grin
cryptic tongue,  prophecy, crazy world mortal sin

Garden of white roses, painfully painted red
covering innocent mistakes,  sense of dread

Queen of hearts, tainted, void of compassion
ordering off with their heads, decapitation

Wonderland , chaos threatening survival
declaring harsh verdicts , before a fair trial

Seeking justice, growing world of insanity
stumbling upon freedom, laws of humanity

world of imagination, land of hidden dreams
subliminal messages, all is not what it seems

  1. I enjoyed what you did with the Alice in Wonderland theme. I can picture the characters so well from your poem. Indeed 'all is not what it seems.'

  2. Appropriately the message had been extended. It appears to be big on a survival theme. To think one can learn a thing or two from antics within the animal kingdom! Nicely Truedessa!

  3. ah yes...sometimes it's not what it seems but def. the worlds touch closely at some points and we can take what we learned in one to the other as well...

    1. Claudia,

A great observation as we cross realms taking what we need and leaving the rest to ponder another day..
