Old Bank Street, Manchester, UK by R.A.D. Stainforth |
listening to the
rain
feeling each others
pain
walking together
in silence
climbing stairs to your flat
above city lights
stripping layers of ourselves
bare and
vulnerable we softly touch
sinking into the
quilted comfort
we dance to the rhythmic
beat
of rain
hitting the window pane
singing sweet
refrains of love
lightning strikes,
thunderous
in darkness,
finding light
falling into puddles
falling into puddles
easing our pain
as one

Wonderful when pain is shared, and thus eased. This is lovely and comforting to read.

ReplyDeleteLovely poem!
ReplyDeleteWhat better way to ease pain then to strip bare with another lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Truedessa! With two, the pain is less.
ReplyDeleteLove this. Also, I've been easing my pain wrong the whole time. Romance sure beats drowning your sorrow in beer any day.
ReplyDeleteAs one = Together. Nice
