The Crosswalk of a Dream

Abbey Road Crosswalk

I stood at the crosswalk in a dream
in a mysterious place I've never seen
across the street stood a man in white
crossed  armed,  pointing  left and right

my world drifted away in a soft blue haze
the crowds disappeared, I stood in a daze
in the silence a melody played in my head
walking in a realm with the living; undead

The world changes, the ground shifts
dreamers hold the key to possibilities
        dream the unimaginable
          live the imaginable

I stood at the crosswalk in a dream
in a mysterious place I've never seen
across the street stood a man in white
crossed  armed,  pointing left and right

breathe deep, there's a decision to make
I may be a dreamer but, my heart is awake
my vision becomes clear and I can now see
the universe holds a place for you and me

The world changes, the ground shifts
dreamers hold the key to possibilities
        dream the unimaginable
          live the imaginable

 Thank you for visiting

  1. "I may be a dreamer, but my heart is awake." It is a hard time for dreamers, these days. I love your poem, kiddo.

  2. Hi Truedessa - wonderful poem ... but so interesting seeing the Imagine clip - loved that ... thanks. We are in a time of change ... we need to be positive and help others at this time ... but I do dream of peaceful times too ... cheers Hilary

  3. There is always an avenue to take, we just have to choose the dream and left or right or right down the middle.
