One day in the temple of learnin'
will our words hold meaning
this world just keeps on turnin'
surely, love will be redeeming
unraveling riddles in the night
how much space must we traverse
somewhere our souls will unite
golden threads of lyrical verse
here, I'll be waiting
waiting for you
the way I always am....
waiting for magic to hit
me with a wham..
enter the temple of sacred dreams
follow the desires of your heart
set sail where the water gleams
take a risk, let new adventures start
the stars and moon are calling us
let's dance beyond wispy clouds
heart to heart in cosmic stardust
embracing for as long as time allows
here, I'll be waiting
waiting for you
the way I always am....
waiting for magic to hit
me with a wham..
One day in the temple of learnin'
will our words hold meaning
this world just keeps on turnin'
surely, love will be redeeming
solving puzzles in the light
how many poems will it take
how many words must I write
how many night will I lay awake
waiting, waiting, waiting for you
the way I always am
Just a dream away
you’ll always be my man

Love to read a reassuring poem, True when many are grappling with the pesky pandemic.

Very nicely done! I love the feel of being comfortable in your own dreams in the here and now. An interesting form and the repetition works well.
