Into my dreams, the esoteric mystic flew
past the phantasmal veil there are clues
harbinger of warning in the web of night
guard your back on an uncharted flight
use caution in journeys to places of the heart
came the screeching HOO HOO Hoot, of an owl
There is vulnerability that can tear it apart
seeking the tree of deeper-rooted wisdom
use intuition see through the crystal prism
beyond the harbor, into the morning light
there's a lyrical song of love, yet to write
came the screeching HOO HOO Hoot, of an owl

beautiful poem, i thought about using that image too, that feather sticking out the back of her shirt is quite intriguing
ReplyDeleteTruedessa you write this as a dream walker. Good advice!
ReplyDeleteMore evidence that they are wise. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love the wisdom, the rhyme, and each lovely line Truedessa! Absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis poem is beautiful and mystical, a dream of a poem - (or a poem of a dream? Smiles.)
ReplyDeleteLove the other-worldliness of this, where dreams take us and then leave haunting images in our minds in the morning. Beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of contrast between the ethereal structure of the message and the strident jar of the refrain. I especially like the second line, and in fact, the whole first stanza, not to diminish any of the rest of it, because it is a shining whole.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem, Truedessa <3
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this. Especially "use caution in journeys to places of the heart" ... how true, how true!!!!
ReplyDeleteA very mystical, dreamy feel to this poem.
ReplyDeleteI love so much about this poem especially this line" guard your back on an uncharted flight"
