The Goose and the World

There's a lone goose by the lake
she's a brave traveler by foot
broken wing, here she stays put
I think, did creator make a mistake

feeling her loneliness, we've all been there
as friends and family come and go...
I guess everyone's has to be somewhere
navigate your journey, take it slow

the world is a ring of beginnings and ends
don't waste time on things you cannot change
release positive energy into the universe, ascend
magical possibilities beyond the visual range

finish that poem, that story you started
be receptive to the flow of energy inward
learn from the past, be more open-hearted
drink from the cup of seven vineyards....

A second offering to his prompt on Oracles this week

author's note:  There is a lone goose by me who cannot fly she has a broken wing.  She has taken a young duck and 14 ducklings this spring under her wing.  They all survived by some miracle,  as birds of prey, turtles and foxes eyed them as a meal.  I call her Lucy and I look for her each day. Synchronicity is in play that I would select that specific card.

  1. I love this wonderful poem, and LOVE the broken winged goose who is protecting the duck family. Critters help each other across species......they have great compassion. A lovely story.

  2. How wonderful that the goose is nurturing the little ducks. be receptive to the flow of energy inward- I like that message...more difficult to recognize and accept and channel good vibes coming through.

  4. Lucy teaches us there's a way to fly with a broken wing -- inside -- caring for The World. It's the next poem, the story we started.

Love your poem True! Am always taken by such stories of different species helping out for each other in such moments of concern. Very human-like but not adopted readily these days by humans themselves Thanks, Ma'am for dropping in many times. Hank is okay and feeling great! Wishing the same for you too!
