Brushes of Autumn

Courtesy of Pixabay

The falling autumn leaf
brushes against her cheek
the sweet musky smell
catches her by surprise

where have the flirty
floral scents gone….

lost in the colorful splendor
hidden from view a
decaying world

a time of transition
harvesting and preservation
necessities of life

  4. Alas the preservation will always leave that sour hint that covers the floral.
