Autumn brings to mind
warm butternut squash soup
sweet and earthly
deliciously creamy texture
with hints of garlic, sage
cinnamon and nutmeg
sprinkles of roasted pepitas
ground pepper and a dash
of paprika
filling my bowl on a fall day
giving thanks for the farmer's
harvest
gathering my words what can I
share with the world that is hungry
for food from the vine of hope
will a taste leave you satisfied
yearning for a warm feeling inside
I'll let you decide.....
