The Uncertainty of the Poet - Giorgio de Chirico |
Riding on the train of uncertainty
in life can be a dangerous
adventure
tracks shift with little notice
leading into places unknown
full steam ahead
testing your flexibility, is your spirit
made of marble hardened by strife
preferring to hide in the shadows
of the archway of yesterday
caught in the art of still life
ripening bananas in the warmth
of the sun's glow does an appetite
for art grow
swimming in turquoise waters
head is in the clouds drifting
away with the poems of the day

Caught in the art of still life, I like that line. A cool poem for the prompt.
ReplyDeleteI love your positive spin on the theme - full steam ahead. Specially this part:

A great take on the prompt, Truedessa!
ReplyDeleteKnowing the tracks shift unexpectedly periodically you still choose to charge straight ahead. That is awesome. Thank you for posting this.
