The world is in a bit of a rift
as society and morals shift
how far will our thoughts drift
why can’t we just co-exist
pondering the work of a surrealist
in the garden a snake hissed
perhaps, dark clouds will lift
at least that is what I wish
written for What's Going On? Rift
Peace would be so much easier than war and division.........sigh. I hope the clouds will lift too, but it may take a while......

ReplyDeleteIt's true. The gap between people seems to be broadening, despite some people's best efforts. You can even say certain phrases in public anymore without launching a firestorm. Or maybe that was always the case? There are just more of them now. LOL.
