How do we change the world, you ask
Perhaps, it begins with a simple task
Who will teach the art of kindness
Can we leave cruelty behind us
How to build empathy in our lives
Perhaps, it is in the smile one gives
Can kindness be the antidote to apathy
Can the cure be found in a baptistery
Say a prayer for a friend who needs hope
It may help them up the slippery slope
Kindness starts within our hearts

I love "each of us plays a small sacred part." That's so true, and I believe kindness is much more central to our nature than its opposite. The opposite is a sickness, and humanity seems to have a virus these days. Smiles.
