| Blooming Onion - Pioneer Woman |
Oh, sweet onion, why do you make me cry
peeling your silky layers, wiping my eyes
cutting pieces of you and I….
I look out my window the roses in bloom
longing to smell their heady perfume
but, here I am inhaling pungent fumes
You should be a blooming desert flower
I’ll transform you, soak you for an hour
batter and fry you, dip you in sauce sweet & sour
Your delicate petals will surely be devoured
on lips you will leave smiles, oh, sweet flower
