Oh Red-winged Blackbird

Oh Red-winged Blackbird I hear your call
into dreams you bring your hypnotic songs

opening wide gateways to possibilities
heralding energy new understanding

lifting my spirit I arise from my bed
enchantment between two worlds

following a spiritual path more aware
listening to druids haunting songs

visiting secret coves mystical worlds
discovering new depths within my soul

velvet black coat twilight in balance
bright red wings  heart full of passion

traveling night skies realm to realm
seeking  healing & new strength

awakening songs of renewed hope
inhaling deep breath of spring..

authors note: a beautiful Red-winged Blackbird
visited me in my dream and to honor my dream

  8. How lovely, to dream of a red winged blackbird. What message does a red winged blackbird bring in a dream, I wonder? I love the line "enchantment between two worlds" very much.

    1. In some place the red-winged blackbird is a harbinger of spring instead of the robin..when I see one I know spring is coming soon.

  18. I love those birds. They're smart and saucy and I love their piercing call. We have a pair that come and eat at our feeders in the Spring and Summer though normally they are at the marshes or along the rivers here. I love how you honored your dream.
