Fire and Smoke

unknown source

and the clouds burst forth
with fire and smoke
the dragon soared
through silent stars
she woke to the rush
of thunder

in an hour of darkness
it was he alone who
would calm her
heavy heart

he woke at 3:00 am
to her soft cries
feeling her deep within
his soul she, the
navigator of the stars

their world was full
of magical  knights
through the mist
she blew him a kiss

for him she would
give her very heart
connected through
a mystical realm
bonded by love

author's note: wip - fragments from something I am writing
as the muse seems to re-arrange the story..

  1. That is beautiful. If that is just the fragments, the whole must be incredible.

  5. The connection between the subjects is enchanting. I'm curious about their story--how long have they been together, what sealed the bond, what brings the tears...

Like Alex suggests, the whole must be marvelous. ♥

  15. From one storyteller to another, hey, I dig your fragmented glance into the heart of something larger & more complex. What a concept, to be in love with a fire dragon; the height of daring fantasy & myth & legend. And, gosh, thanks again for being one of the most fervent fans of my BLACKTHORNE series.

Well, there is nothing wrong with a bit of storytelling. I do enjoy your BLACKTHORNE series and I will continue to read each segment. I always check on open link to see if you have one posted even if I am not participating.
