Gates to summer open, where will it lead
spring disappeared on dandelion seeds
monarch butterflies dance with honey bees
in a field of wildflowers feeling free
sunlight glistens as days are longer
finding the rhythm of life getting stronger
dreaming under a wispy willow tree
in a field of wildflowers feeling free
on mossy trails, my spirit is restored
in glowing sunlight, laying down my sword
my heart an open book, I give to thee
in a field of wildflowers feeling free

So beautiful, Truedessa. Love the spring disappearing on dandelion seeds, and those frisky wildflowers. Also the heart, an open book.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you again my friend...thanks for the visit.
DeleteOh I love what you did with my image, that feeling of having summer before us. The summer and flowers are such a welcome.
ReplyDeleteBjorn, thanks for the use of the photo. I saw many paths, but my muse took this one.
DeleteThat had an excellent flow and like the line about the dandelions.
ReplyDeleteThank Alex, I like to make wishes on those puffs of white.

Sigh.... beautiful lines....!!!
Thank you Sanna - My favorite tree is a willow.
DeleteSummer is there to free and make some flee to the sea haha
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy a day at the beach. Sipping on a cool drink and riding the waves.
DeleteTruly lovely and it captures the walks I take daily. The trail is beautiful, just as you described!
ReplyDeleteThank you Yolanda, I imagine there is much to see on those walks.
DeleteA trail, a summer day, and time to "escape". Wonderfully written!
ReplyDeleteThanks Walt, I enjoy a good "escape"

ReplyDeleteThank you Victoria, ah to bask in summer's glow.
DeleteA perfect poem to welcome the summer season :)
ReplyDeleteKeith so good to see you, I hope all is well.
DeleteThe excitement and wonder of that open gate is infectious - sun is a bonus but the light of adventure is the best!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree I just want to run down that path and see where it takes me. Let the adventure begin.
DeleteA wonderfull poem, one to re-visit in the cold winter months to remind me of the beauty of distant summers.
ReplyDeleteThanks - We are just starting summer here, so I hope summer brings many wonders.
DeleteWhat a wonderfully joyful piece. I need to go find musk a patch of wildflowers to be rejuvenated in!
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteI hope you find a patch and rejuvenation comes to thee
By "musk", I meant "me"
ReplyDeleteHi, I thought that might be want you meant. Thanks for the clarification

DeleteAhhh, music to my ears and spirit.
