When will then be now
when will we share a dream
when will we share a dream
tears fall from the willow bough
musical flute, love to redeem
When will then be now
when will we find our way
it's said hearts always know how
awakening to life, a new day
When will then be now
when will we truly believe
how many fields must we plow
planting seeds before we sleep
When will then be now
when will our eyes truly see
how many visions will time allow
before our dreams set us free
how many fields must we plow
planting seeds before we sleep
When will then be now
when will our eyes truly see
how many visions will time allow
before our dreams set us free
I love the rhythm and rhyme in this piece. So wistfully beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks sharing, I was pondering time...
DeleteLook at you go with a timely show. Time to come to be, then will dreams stay dreams or come true?
ReplyDeleteI guess some dreams will come true and new dreams will be dreamt...
DeleteWhen will the darkness lift and light enter... Very nice!
ReplyDeleteHopefully, soon Alex
DeleteI really love the phrasing of "When will then be now."
ReplyDeleteA friend asked me that question and I pondered it for awhile and birthed this poem.
DeleteIs then, ever really now. The mystery of time is perplexing.
I love it when real-life conversations inspire us like that!
DeleteMe too Silver it seems more organic.
DeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteOur hopes and dreams for the future always seems to be just beyond our grasp don't they?
That is so true Sandra! Have a fun filled weekend..
DeleteSaid in a certain way, your poetic words would likely have a very restful therapeutic effect on patients.
ReplyDeleteHmm, interesting comment...
DeleteOh dear, I used to waste so many hours wishing for something still to come, I forgot to enjoy what is before me right now... your writing is so rhythmic and leads us softly to our dreams, nice *smiles*
ReplyDeleteI think life is about balance, we need to live in the now but, still hold on to our hopes and dreams. Smiles back
Delete"When will then be now?" he wanted to know,
ReplyDeletealways relishing ludicrous speed.
"Soon," the answer came, "Then you will know.
Now, be patient and take heed."
Dark Helmet said, "Are you chicken?
I want to know now, you silly cow!"
And so it came to pass
that this blind man burned his ass.
He went too fast and did not see
that time was you and me.
time was you and me
Deletedreaming of a faraway sea
imagining all that we could be
if only our spirits were free
I remembered a fragments of my dream today. It wasn't pretty, and it's gone now. I don't remember what it was about, but I do know once again that I secretly dream. But it wasn't pretty.
DeleteBlue you remembered a fragment of a dream? If you want to talk about it, you know where I am. I can walk you through it.
