Midweek Motif Clouds
You did twist. This in combination with your note at PU tells a long, long story. Sweet. These pregnant clouds have to stop producing sometime!
ReplyDeleteSusan, it has been a long winter and I am ready for some warmer weather. I am sure spring will bring rain to nurture the new life waiting to bloom.
DeleteBeautiful, my friend....what a long winter it has been where you are.............I hope it ends soon.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a long winter and I think everyone around here is ready for spring. I have been watching it fall and it really has a silent beauty.
DeleteOh but the snow is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt is very beautiful Alex but, shoveling and driving is not so fun.
DeleteSadly mankind is upsetting the weather patterns for in parts of Australia we have had the hottest days ever. You'd never think that a stupid animal like man could upset weather patterns but it is happening.
ReplyDeleteOld egg you are so right, climate is changing and mankind is responsible for upsetting the natural order of nature. It worries me.
DeleteSo beautiful that snowscape... but for how long? Agree with Robin.. we're killing the earth.
ReplyDeleteIt is a very lovely landscape this morning the sun is dancing brightening my day
DeleteBeautifully written We are starting autumn tomorrow so I hope you are getting spring soon
ReplyDeleteThank you, enjoy your autumn.
DeleteI love everything about the poem. Beautiful images. I will give this form a try someday. Ha, clouds and sun seem to play hide-and-seek.
ReplyDeleteThe form doesn’t use the traditional syllable count 2, 4, 6, 8, 2 , instead I used 1,3,5,7,1 - giving it a new twist
DeleteHi Truedessa - you do seem to be having more than your fair share of the white stuff ... finally our warm weather has disappeared and we have cloud and wet - but we need that too. Your poem is delightful - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteYes and more is coming this weekend. There are real concerns that the rivers will flood.
DeleteCheers
haha those clouds need condoms to stop this crap
ReplyDeleteHaha let’s me know if you figure out s way to contain it.. you made me laugh..
DeleteYour poem describes New York City's sky (yesterday). It was all darkness and snow to come. Today, the sky is blue and the sun is grinning like a happy fool. Spring is coming...
ReplyDelete...but yes, I suspect that there will be more snow-pregnant skies in between.
Magaly, as we enter March I am sure there will be a few more snow pregnant skies.
DeleteOh it is Autumn tomorrow I dont want summer to end.You will have a warm Spring soon. I read it in the tea leaves:)
ReplyDeleteYour autumn starts March 1st our spring arrives March 20th. Enjoy your last day of summer :)
DeleteI like your poem. It reminds me of days when I was tired of snow and felt like Spring was taking too long to arrive.
ReplyDeleteHaha Myrna I guess I am impatient for sunnier skies.
DeleteA lovely poem.
ReplyDeleteHere in the UK we have had unseasonably spring-like weather, but I think that will be changing very soon.
All the best Jan
Jan - I might be a tad jealous...I just might be. Enjoy your spring weather while you can. Thanks for stopping over.
DeleteLove your twist on the cinquain. It works well in this lovely poem.
ReplyDeleteHi Sara, Thanks for visiting I guess I just felt like trying something different to change my mood :)
Delete"Pregnant grey" what a wonderful description! I think so many are hoping for warmer days Truedessa! Hopefully it will be soon. 🌷
ReplyDeleteHi Carrie, I just saw the weather report and it looks like more snow is coming next week. Hopefully, the days will get warmer as March marches in.
DeleteLove the tree, especially with that hopeful last line, the tree's trunk, as it were.
ReplyDeleteha - I was wondering who would see the tree? Of course it would be you. Shine on Silver
DeleteWe're expecting three to six inches of snow tonight. At least in Colorado I can look forward to sunshine. Loved your poem, as always Truedessa!
ReplyDeleteI love your words and I love the image! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Truedessa - I came looking for your prose piece for the "Telling Tales With Magaly" prompt, and I can't find it.
