Swinging on a Dream

Girl on a Swing - The Sunday Muse

Who says you can’t dance in the clouds
where the heart beats thunderous loud

In a dream there was once you and I
making love with words until we cried

Seeking momentum in another realm
the guardian of the universe at the helm

Swinging high, then low in whispers of love
sharing our magic with the heavens above

Perhaps, the intensity made us fools of pain
our feet always dangling on the edge of sane

Tip-toeing in the clouds, where our souls met
those other-worldly moments, I will never forget

The emotional rush of excitement in my head
remembering the enchantment of what was said

If you believe there is joy in touching the sky
do it now, before the dream disappears and dies

Where the heart beats thunderous loud
who says you can't dance in the clouds

Where is Spring?

The weekend snow another reminder that winter had no plans to move on.  I
turned the clocks an hour ahead.  How can I spring forward?  The earth is covered with
another six inches of snow.  There are no visible signs of spring.

Weary from the day, I slip into bed,  wondering where my dreams will take me. I set
an intention to find spring. Drifting into the dreamscape, I wandered lonely as a cloud.
On white fluffy wings, I soar seeking spring.

Below, the river ice jams are loosening.  I see the raptors are on the move.  A pair of
red-tailed hawks are courting, swooping and circling the sky. I hear a concert of
hooting owls, music to my ears.  A red-headed woodpecker is adding percussion.
The songs of spring seems to be everywhere and love is in the air. Embrace it!

Always!

Truedessa

In a dream we connected
our journey cosmically aligned
surprised by the unexpected

blinded by grandiloquent light
relinquishing everyday reality
awakening in the arms of night

true love never dies, look to the sky
I'll send you a wondrous work of art
I'll  send you a piece of my heart

living in a world filled with poetics
reaching places never truly seen
stories written, our energy kinetic

heavy are the tears of daylight
will you see my message of love
or will you let it fade, out of sight

true love never dies, look to the sky
I'll send you a wondrous work of art
I'll  send you a piece of my heart

these days I'm singing the blues
why have you drifted so far away
perhaps, you've found a new muse

closing my eyes in the heat of night
escaping the borders of new reality
spreading my wings to take flight
crossing realms to embrace fantasy

I'll send you a sign, a sign from above
A sign of my love, I'll send you my heart

always
always
always

a work in progress - I reserve the
right to rearrange this piece

I was feeling really blue one day
sitting outside exhausted and this
heart shaped cloud formed before
my eyes.

This Snow Needs to Go

clouds
pregnant gray
birthing cold snowflakes
blanketing signs of spring life
sun

author's note: I am watching the
snow fall dreaming of warmer
days. I gave the Cinquain a new twist.

Tapping to the Sugar Maples

pic credit - Truedessa's Collection

in a cloudless sky
an autumn day calls
come to the mountains
breathe in the fresh air
take in the rich hues of life
fall into the lush landscape
of a sun-kissed valley
dance in the arms of nature
taste the sweetness
of maples

Three Tweets of Love

catching a ride on a passing cloud
drifting high above the busy crowd
hearing my thoughts and beating heart
life pulsating through my veins

i feel no pain float with me
in unison, no need to wear a coat
moist warm lips flutter kiss my throat
feel the passion you stir within me

falling from grace to touch your face
you take my breath away dancing on
the edge of desire singing songs
making love above the city lights
