  1. Lovely, kiddo, We are having some rain here, after waiting so long for it. It is good, but not enough rain. Also, on the only road in and out of here, there was a huge landslide yesterday, closing the road from 7 a.m. till nighttime........a wake up call. They are doing construction, blasting away the cliffs........of course there will be landslides.

    1. Hi Sherry,

I am sorry to hear about the landslide. One day that road will wash away and then what?

  6. Hi Truedessa - I was like the sunflowers last week ... wilting in the summer sun ... but now it's cloudy - perhaps some rain ... but England is England for its weather. Wonderful poem - Cheers Hilary

  11. I love the shape of this poem, like sunflowers and umbrellas on top of each other. I’m so pleased the thirsty sunflowers got their rain in the end.

  12. It really shows how raindrops are anticipated for the sake of life. We in the tropics take it for granted while hoping for sunshine for most days! How are you True?
