I hear you've been eavesdropping

on me, but, have you been listening

to my words

do you count the

syllables of my thoughts

do you  hear me softly

whispering my intentions

 into the night

is the message of my

heart audible to  your

ears

 linking with dVerse

writing a quadrille 44 words

incorporating the word

eavesdropping

  1. I hear this plea as listening deeply to your heart. Lovely one Truedessa.

  3. Oh, if only we could ALL hear each other's heart messages clearly; at least we'd all have some truth upon which to nail our adoration or our disavowal. Sadly propaganda and personal subterfuge rule.

  4. Very nice poem... seems the heart is the hardest to eavesdrop on... that is why we write our poetry! Well done.

  5. The intention is everything, oft missed when eavesdropping. So true True... :)

Interestingly enough eavesdropping may not reveal the actual situation as they might lead one off the track with assumptions.

  9. Hearing and listening are two different things...

  10. Ah....you've pointed out so well the difference between hearing a listening. We listen from the heart, hopefully. We simply hear "noise".

  11. There is a great deal of poignancy in this. The listening vs. hearing, and the intentions of the one doing it make all the difference. Lovely.

  12. Words often do not convey the message of the heart. They go along with the mask we often wear. Evocative poem!

  13. Listening is so much harder than just hearing the words... I don't think you can eavesdrop since true listening requires two-way communication.
