Nestled between the tall green pines
shimmering lake of morning reflection
kayaks rest on the shoreline of adventure
Awakening, the first breath of sunrise
glorious hues of purple, pink and yellow

Wow, this is beautiful! I want to go to that place.
ReplyDeleteThank you it is a serene place! I am sure you would like it!
Delete"Did you ever see a spectacular sky
ReplyDeletethat made your soul cry"
Yes, so many times. I feel a certain kinship with the sky, always. Especially in its merging with water. Just gorgeous.
De I too feel that connection with the sky and water. It does make my soul cry.
DeleteNo words would be enough to describe the beauty of the sky.
ReplyDeleteGrace I agree sometimes I am speechless
DeleteI love the idea of a sky so beautiful it makes your soul cry!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dwight a reminder that there is still beauty in the world
DeleteFirst thing I want to say is this is a gorgeous poem True. So rich and evocative. Writing at the top of your game here! Also, this is something I need to share with my fellow writers here at dVerse. I so enjoy reading the work that you create and post, and am genuinely honored to be embraced as a part of this community of poets. May we all find healing in these challenging times. And as a true aquarian love child, and also a proud flower child of the 60’s, who truly believed then we would some day change the world to be a better place for all, and still believes that we might yet do it — I wish each of you peace, health, and love. Write on!
ReplyDeleteRob thank you for your thoughtful comment. Your poetic words are connective and the community needs a believer that some day the world will be a better place.
DeleteMy mantra “I Choose the Frequency of Love’
Write in peace, health and love always
The beauty of this work only enhances our appreciation of the beautious sunrise. Thanx.
ReplyDeleteRon thank you may the morning light bring you hope!
DeleteThis is so beautiful. I did see a sky that made my soul cry, it looked like the floor of heaven.
DeleteThe floor of heaven, yes I can imagine it was beautiful.
DeleteStunning, stunning, stunning. It's intriguing how the certain colors of the sky can be so evocative. You write this beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your gracious words.
DeleteThe sky is an amazing Kaleidoscope always changing.
This is breathtakingly beautiful!!💝💝
ReplyDeleteThank you Sanaa
DeleteI love the way you have captured that reflection, Truedessa, in your quadrille and the image. I also love the phrase ‘shoreline of adventure’.
ReplyDeleteThose kayaks are just waiting to be paddled out to an early morning adventure
DeleteI've always thought sunrises were far more spectacular. I just don't like being up to see them!
ReplyDeleteBoth sunrise and sunsets are stunning in their full bloom of color. Agree, sunsets are easier as you don’t have to wake up early. But, the rising sun is something to behold!
DeleteAwakening, the first breath of sunrise
ReplyDeleteglorious hues of purple, pink and yellow
light
Rightly described True! It features such a fantastic image. One forgets for a moment the woes that had befallen the world to be so mesmerised!

Hi Hank
DeleteThanks for stopping over. Yes, we need beautiful distractions, if only for moments to
rejoice in the new day. So much chaos wears one down. Sigh
Skies do have that effect, don't they?
ReplyDeleteI so agree Jane, thanks
DeleteBeautiful! And these words "Did you ever see a spectacular sky
ReplyDeletethat made your soul cry?" Oh yes....the skies of Provincetown that seem a canopy that never ends and is a kaleidascope in its variety of looks.
It sounds wonderful Lillian.
DeleteI do remember seeing a sky and water like that... it doesn't happen often.
ReplyDeleteNo, it doesn't Bjorn, I think one needs to be at the right place at the right time. Synchronicity.
DeleteReminds me of camping and the feeling you get waking up under the sky and adventure waiting for you. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteYes, there is so much beauty outside, it calms my soul.
DeleteThe rising and setting of the sun is always worth viewing, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Old Egg
