Morning Sky

Nestled between the tall green pines
shimmering lake of morning reflection
kayaks rest on the shoreline of adventure

Awakening, the first breath of sunrise
glorious hues of purple, pink and yellow
light

Did you ever see a spectacular sky
that made your soul cry

Yes, so many times. I feel a certain kinship with the sky, always. Especially in its merging with water. Just gorgeous.

  5. First thing I want to say is this is a gorgeous poem True. So rich and evocative. Writing at the top of your game here! Also, this is something I need to share with my fellow writers here at dVerse. I so enjoy reading the work that you create and post, and am genuinely honored to be embraced as a part of this community of poets. May we all find healing in these challenging times. And as a true aquarian love child, and also a proud flower child of the 60’s, who truly believed then we would some day change the world to be a better place for all, and still believes that we might yet do it — I wish each of you peace, health, and love. Write on!

    1. Rob thank you for your thoughtful comment. Your poetic words are connective and the community needs a believer that some day the world will be a better place.

My mantra “I Choose the Frequency of Love’

    1. Both sunrise and sunsets are stunning in their full bloom of color. Agree, sunsets are easier as you don’t have to wake up early. But, the rising sun is something to behold!

Rightly described True! It features such a fantastic image. One forgets for a moment the woes that had befallen the world to be so mesmerised!

    1. Hi Hank

Thanks for stopping over. Yes, we need beautiful distractions, if only for moments to
rejoice in the new day. So much chaos wears one down. Sigh

  13. Beautiful! And these words "Did you ever see a spectacular sky
that made your soul cry?" Oh yes....the skies of Provincetown that seem a canopy that never ends and is a kaleidascope in its variety of looks.
