Once in a Blue Moon

you are always the one

that puts my heart on the run

skipping beats, gasping

for air....

trying to catch you in the

middle of the night, hide

and seek until daylight

I met you once on the

shore of possibility

vulnerable baring my

soul...

take me on a blue moon

ride  under a cosmic sky

penetrate this veil of

darkness

fill me with songs, rhymes

and verses, make me weep

in a Shakespearean sonnet

traveling the edge of

poe-tic love

you are always the one

that puts my heart on the run

skipping beats, gasping

for air

why can't you see that I am

here, in the magic of dreams

waiting for you to appear

tis, love that keeps me going

hoping someday we will meet

in a new reality, un-teethered

I will spread my wings flying

places unknown...

reaching for you burning bright

a star so far away, yet, I wish

I may, I wish I might have this

wish tonight....

fill me with songs, rhymes

and verses, make me weep

in a Shakespearean sonnet

traveling the edge of

poe-tic love

  1. Sure felt the blue and brought it home. A great flow to it too.

  3. "I met you once on the shore of possibility..." so sad when that shining vision does not come to be.

  4. I thoroughly enjoyed this night flight through the realms of love and fantasy. A haunted moon-song!

  6. I think we all need to be a little blue to produce a romantic poem. I love the lines:
‘I met you once on the
    shore of possibility
    vulnerable baring my
    soul’
    and
    ‘reaching for you burning bright
a star so far away, yet I wish
I may, I wish I might have this
    wish tonight’,
which reminded me of Joni Mitchell’s ‘This Flight Tonight’.
