  2. Hi Truedessa - loved this ... and that image. But your words bring them all to life ... just imagine joining those three for some deep thought. Lovely ... Now I'll always remember this image with the film Loving Vincent - such a brilliant way of filming his life. Thank you for the image ... take care - Hilary

    1. Hi Hilary, thank you for visiting and your kind words. It is sad hat creative people often suffer. So many misunderstood.

  3. This is a difficult form to do well and you've done it splendidly. The repetition only deepens the effect. Also, I'm so glad someone brought up "Vincent"! I thought about it, but it didn't fit my poem very well. You rode in and saved the day.

    1. As soon as I saw the artwork, McLean’s song started looping in my head. I knew if I turned on that car radio that would be playing.

  5. I think that is the defining song about Van Gogh, and you work its truth into your lovely floating form very skillfully. I especially love those last two lines. Freedom and sanity always seem to be in a dead-heat sort of tension in our society which places so little value on the creative.

    1. Thanks freedom is often hard to find in the labyrinth of the mind. There are so many roads untraveled.

  6. Damn! Great pantoum. Worked perfectly, and was perfect for the overlay of the different artists and the way colors and craziness repeat like the refrain of a song that metastasizes as it rolls on through the night.
