Three wonderful haiku True, the first bring the one that engaged me most. Excellent writing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rob! I took this photo last spring, one of my first trips out after lock down. There is an old trail that leads to the river. That day an eagle was flying over the river.
DeleteHow beautiful! At the base of the old cherry tree out front are those big curved shelf-like things that grow on old trees. Cant remember what they're called. Someone perched a small gnome on top of it. Smiles.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry, you would like the trail that leads to the river. There are many old tree markers that helped the first ancestors of the land find their way. I love cherry trees when they are in bloom.
DeleteVery beautiful writing!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteA lovely series of fungus haiku, Truedessa! The first is surreal, the second dark as the soil mushrooms grow in, and the third emerges with a sparkle.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim! This place came to mind as I pondered the prompt. Fungus was growing on some of the old trees by the river.
DeleteMushrooms do multiply!
ReplyDeleteThat they do’
DeleteLovely haiku, exploring different fungal facets. A little mystery, a little spirituality, a little beauty. Lovely.
