My heart a juke box filled
with memorable songs
from romantic ballads,
rhythm & blues to classic
rock n roll to get me in
that good time mood
selections change with
the coin of the day
some days, I sing
"Dream On"
Linking with dVerse

Thank you for reading
peace, music and dreams
I love your heart as the juke box full of old songs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great metaphor. And oh, the songs we can sing!
Just need to decide on the selection and then sing a long.
DeleteHello my friend, my soundtrack would be a bit mystical, crazy and dream-filled, mirroring my life.
ReplyDeleteI love what is in your juke box heart. Give me a good ballad and I get sentimental. Thanks for joining in.
ReplyDeleteHi Grace a song for every mood and every turn of the day.
DeleteWe all need to dream on, even if those dreams don't always seem realistic!
ReplyDeleteExactly
DeleteDream on
Dream on
Dream on
Thanks for visiting
Great metaphor!
ReplyDeleteThat it is Alex, the soundtrack of my life always revolving
Deletedream on ... now i got an earworm that i won't be able to get rid of for the rest of the day...oy....nicely woven
ReplyDeleteHaha that song plays in repeat a lot in my head. Sorry about that, so nice to see you again.
DeleteOh this is perfect. All those songs (and memories) in our hearts. I love the ending.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry, I have quite a unique collection of.music.
DeleteIndeed ~ dream on! I love this ….
ReplyDeleteThank you, Helen
DeleteOh, the song titles that tumble forth from the attic of our brains!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I like that the attic of our brains, that is where one can find some real treasures.
DeleteThe heart as a juke box is such an inventive take on the prompt! My collection would be very eclectic but singing "Dream On" at the top of my lungs while driving has happened more than once....unfortunately for any passengers.
ReplyDelete-Mish-
Haha I love your comment, I love to sing in my car and unfortunate for those in the car as I turn it up and sing like I am by myself…
DeleteDream on
Dream on
I love the throwback to those wide choice of songs of the young days True! It can never be the same again! No more milling around the heart-shaped music machine!
ReplyDeleteHank
I think there are a lot of song selections in that heat shaped music machine. Memories and songs are woven pieces of time. Some make you happy and some blue but, they are all part of you.
DeleteI love this metaphor. Love it.

Oh, wonderful. And the ending is a strike, perfect and right down the middle. Ya' made me look,
ReplyDelete(now more than) "Half my life's in books, written pages
Live and learn from fools and from sages
You know it's true, oh
All the things come back to you"
It's on my play list. Enjoyed this one for sure.
A happy heart, no doubt
ReplyDeleteMuch💜love
love the tune of your heart. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat thought... what would be the soundtrack...
ReplyDeleteThere was a Swedish Band that was named "The soundtrack of our lives" - I think you might like them.
