After the Rain

The summer rain came
in torrential downpours
flooding streets and hearts
with despair…

sudden wind shifts with a burst
of cool air...

bending the weeping willow
a piece of sun filters through
arcing across the sky a rainbow

smiling with hope for earthly
repairs…

  1. Sorry to hear the rain has been extreme in your area, Truedessa. What a relief for you, to see light pop through and then a rainbow.

  12. A double edged sword, blessing and curse in one moment, but yet needing repair as do I/we, wonderful.
