Come break away with me
let us sail dreams just for today
feel the wonders of the tranquil sea
cast away the gray, embrace sun-rays
Lord knows I’m feeling blue
lord knows I’m still in love with you
lord knows I need to get over you
but, that is something I can never do
In the margin lies my heartfelt notes
raw emotions and poetic phrases
scribbled an inspirational quote
let words dance across the pages
Come break away with me
let us sail dreams just for today
feel the wonders of the tranquil sea
cast away the gray, embrace sun-rays

lord knows I fell in love with you
Lord knows I need to get over you
but, that is something I can never do
Past foam and spray finding our way
Listening to the songs of the tranquil sea
billowing sails will carry us away
docking in a quiet bay to simply be
Lord know this song is for you

A melody caught me today and this is a wip

I love your imagery and phrasings, like "cast away the gray," "words dance across the page" and "past foam and spray finding our way," the end rhymes and internal rhymes working together to strike the soulful notes of the song.
