Let them be baby birds
robins eating earth worms
Let them be the wildflowers
drinking in a spring shower
Let them be the majestic trees
offering a delightful breeze
Let them be the dreamers
the truth and hope believers
Let me hear wondrous birdsong
joining in on their sing-a-long
Let me enjoy the beauty of the day
whether skies are blue or gray
Let me walk freely in the forest
resting under the canopy nourished
Let me be a visionary of tomorrow
searching for healing from life's sorrow

It was so lovely to read this poem, it lifted my heart. Just beautiful, True.
ReplyDeleteLove the thought of what may grow from sorrow
ReplyDeleteVery uplifting!
ReplyDeleteYes, Truedessa, birds, worms, wildflowers and trees. We need to strip it all down to nature, honest and a lot of it still a mystery.
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely, Truedessa. I love this so much: “Let me be a visionary of tomorrow searching for healing from life’s sorrow.” Let's make it so!! 💜
ReplyDeleteLovely poem.
ReplyDeleteNice one, Arcardia
ReplyDeleteMuch love
Lovely--yes to robins, flowers, trees, and dreams. 💙 Why can't the world let this be so?
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. The repetition works very well as does the switch from let them to let me!
ReplyDeleteAh! This is beautiful, Tru. Birds, flowers, trees and dreams...what else could one want!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful poem, bringing nature into the "let them" theme. Love all the images.
