There once were two fools
that sailed the ocean blue
feasting on wondrous words
searching for golden swords
chasing mythical creatures
dragons and dream weavers
the stars and moon their guide
navigating the changing tide
a beast capsized their ship

An interesting yet haunting story.
ReplyDeleteI love your whimsical poem, Truedessa.
ReplyDeleteA perfectly composed poem - like an age old myth neatly captured - Jae
ReplyDeleteAw, and just like that (it seems) their story ends! Drat, those dreaded beasts...
ReplyDeleteNice one!!!
ReplyDeleteMuch love
Love this mythical script! I can see a graphic novel from it....sailing across a flat earth. I thought they would fall off into the abyss rather than be capsized by a beast. Maybe the beast gets them first?
ReplyDeleteDarn that beast!
ReplyDeleteTime for a deep dive, me thinks!! Nice work, True.
ReplyDeleteOne friend but two fools? This is clever and fun!
ReplyDeleteYou bring your prose to life, True.
ReplyDeleteHope your mom is recovering. Take care of yourself. Thinking of you both.
The ending was so sad, Truedessa! I saw your postscript note. I hope your friend reaches out to you.
