Coping and Hoping

Hope is an optimistic state of mind
it’s believing things will work out
even when surrounded by chaos

Hope is a dream waiting to unfold
it’s found in broken wings of a goose
an unwavering resilience to change

Hope is a kiss of dazzling sunlight
it warms the flesh with renewal
breathing in positive energy

Hope resides in heartfelt prayers
encouraging us to be strong
it’s in the beat of a steady drum

Hope is a rainbow after the storm
saying goodbye to darkness
and choosing light....

Hope is a lifeline

grab it with all your strength

    and never let go...

  1. Saying goodbye to darkness and choosing light....that is a source of hope to me - that many more millions of us choose light over darkness and eventually light must prevail.

  3. Truedessa, you have really definined hope with the examples you have given. We have to keep looking for that rainbow after the storm....and appreciating those moments of hope when / where we find them.

  4. "Hope is a lifeline" that often becomes our own inspiring thought, our dream, our resilience, light, energy, prayer to set everything right. So wonderfully expressed.

  5. Great one! Funny thing you should mention chaos on the day I hear my part of the city will be cut off the rest of the city for months due to road works and we won't even have a bus available now when it is 40C plus all August! What a hell on Earth, hope your hopes are looking brighter over there LOL
