In a dream,
I met a gatekeeper
with lustrous copper hair
all was not as it seems
in a crimson patch of flowers
wearing large tortoiseshell glasses
beckoning me into a flurry of butterflies
in my sleep during the mystical hours
surrounded by beautiful fluttering wings
a wandering skipper gifted me a red velvet rose
careful of thorns, I inhaled its sweetest scent
the night I heard a flurry of butterflies sing

So, for today, I’ve composed a list of common butterfly names taken from several online sites. People seem to enjoy these list prompts. Choose at least three of the names from the list below and include them in your poem.
Author's note: Today, I was in a pool of cool blue and a Eastern Tiger Swallowtail landed on my foot. Then I saw the prompt today. A bit of Synchronicity.
You know how to capture the beauty of butterflies.
