What Shall I Pack

In my visions I see change

a new path in the journey

preparing I pack a suitcase

leaving heavy burdens behind

my only wish is to travel light

thinking what can I bring

that won't weigh me down

filling it with hopes & dreams

a bright  bouquet of wildflowers

wrapped in tissues of love

carrying summer sunlight

traveling to distant shores
who knows what is in store

on the path from here to there

whispering secrets into my soul

on the wings of a butterfly

fluttering  in a warm breeze

hidden sanctuary, new habitat

seeking sweet nectar in life

the journey leads me to you!

Journey in my Moccasins

My favorite shoes are my soft moccasins

two flowing feathers, earth colored beads

slipping my bare feet into leather skin

My eyes behold a path known only to me

walking sturdy,  forest of wandering dreams

seeking knowledge, soft whispering trees

My ears listen for direction, drumming  beat

hearing distance shrills, red tail hawk guides

awestruck , two visionaries we cautiously meet

My legs quicken their pace,  climbing mountains

 each day a new adventure,  marking the trails

taking sips of life, cool fresh waterfall fountains

My heart holding precious keys to my desires

pounding it's  song, under  my warm  flesh

with each urgent breath I walk coals of fire

My soul yearning to embark on a dream quest

where my purpose can be fulfilled in this life

then, I will remove my moccasins & finally rest

Red Garnet Shines

Take me into the mountains

where air is crisp and fresh

where ancestral spirits roam

these sacred lands their home

Let me embark on a journey

where living forests breathes

where mother earth's voice rises

nature revealing hidden surprises

Take me into the  mountains

where gentle deer hearts sprint

where white owl's wisdom is shown

walking paths into dreams unknown

Let me listen with unobstructed ears

where trees whisper, drums beat

where chanting songs are heard

singing verses, repeating words

Take me into the mountains

where mystical powers can heal

where haunting fears are released

dancing blue flames, worries cease

Let me discover true inner peace

where my  heart expresses love

where my inner spirit takes flight

seeing life third eye, full of light

Take me into the mountains

where glistening red garnet shines

where stories & dreams are shared

feeling whole,  my soul is repaired

Let me be entranced by silent beauty

where purifying waters quench thirst

where ancient ones  blessed the land

reborn in skin & flesh I proudly stand

Take me into the mountains....
