dVerse - Sedoka Prompt - Eclipse

eclipse wikemedia

haunting melodies
float free in a velvet sky
your songs echo in my soul

eclipse of my heart
softly swaying to the beat
surrendering to desire

  3. I'm amazed how the sedoka can be transfigured so that it can fit a myriad of poetic styles, from the public to the personal. Here, for example, is one where it's made intensely personal.

  4. Such a song
    Can do no wrong
    Just let it flow
    And away you'll go
    To where I don't know
    Just don't stub your toe
    Or whack your elbow
    Maybe a lawn you'll mow

    1. Hi Pat,

      Do you care
      to sing-a-long
      we could sing
      all day long..

      always a pleasure
to have you as a guest
      at my house..(smiling)

    2. I can try
      But away you may fly
      As I can't carry a tune in a bucket
But I say err umm duck it

    3. We can be two out of tune
      just singing the day away
      would be fun to do.

  5. The first katuata reminded me of the beautiful ancient idea that the movement of the planets and stars created harmonic tones, the musica universalis. And then, moving into the harmonic tones of the heart in love--lovely!
