Awake in crumpled sheets
wafer thin, fragile
cry
writing love letters from my heart
where to start, where to end
black ink drips from
a leaky pen
how do I express all that's within
teary eyes, I slip into a dream
you are hovering in the wings
you are hovering in the wings
to ease my tormented soul
gently plucking my heartstrings
warm kisses , our tongues ignite
increasing the tempo of desire
increasing the tempo of desire
dark hours, ours bodies entwined
quivering to the rhythm of the night
even if it is just a figment of my mind
waltzing on the edge of insanity
you take my hand, humming
in my ear
an enchanted melody...
passions mounting, a fountain of love
overflowing basin from deep within
overflowing basin from deep within
intoxicating drink makes my head spin
shameless , my soul in nakedness sings
a rush of pleasure, surely this cannot be a sin
falling
falling
falling
into a magical dream-scape
tranquility embraced in your arms
whispering your name in the misty air
whispering your name in the misty air
luminous eyes, I behold a new horizon
if this is a dream please wake me not
if this is a dream please wake me not
drifting back into a lucid state
Wonderful poem! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteCharles,
DeleteThank you so much for the visit and words.
Aww... this brought tears to my eyes. So touching.
ReplyDeleteLaurie,
DeleteThank you!
smiles....here is to hoping that life is always such a dream that we never need wake from....write those love letters into reality...smiles....
ReplyDeleteBrian,
DeleteWell, I am a dreamer so wake me not..smiling..
Beautiful, Truedessa. The idea of love letters makes my heart sing.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
DeleteThanks for the comment..I wonder if anyone still writes actual love letters.
Good morning... given technology today, they are probably love emails and love twitters... :op
DeleteLove letters used to be the thing, however. I'm sure it's a lost art.
Thank you for stopping by my place! :o)
I will return!!
~shoes~
Hi Red Shoes,
DeleteThanks for visiting..I think you are right about love emails and tweets..it is an electronic world..a lost art perhaps, but at least the words are not a lost art as they reside in the heart..something to ponder..
I was more than happy to visit your place..interesting place you have going.
Hope to see you soon..
Wherever I go, I notice tracks that I swear I've seen before.
DeleteCould it be professor Shoes is knocking at your door? :)
Hi Blue,
DeleteWorking on something special just for you!
The suspense is driving me insane.
DeleteWhatever it is, it had better not be rain ;)
Hi Blue,
DeleteI'll try to refrain from any rain..wouldn't want you to go insane. Have a great day!
This is lovely ~ I specially like:
ReplyDeletetranquility embraced in your arms
Grace,
DeleteThank you!
Truedessa, gorgeous descriptions here. Very nice write.
ReplyDeletePamela
Pamela,
DeleteThank you for the read and nice comment.
So with your stream
ReplyDeleteYou are entranced in a dream?
A love letter to it
That is sure a hit
Findings such arms
That raise no alarms
Would sure be the way
To brighten ones bay
But instead the dreams go bust
Or wither away and rust
If I only had a buck
For each time i'd have a big truck lol
That just popped out
Care to have a trout?
Hi Pat,
DeleteI've told you I'm a dreamer
and sometimes a screamer
one needs to find a way
to keep the dream alive
at least one has to try
care to have a trout..(lol)
if you're cooking I'll try it out...
see you in the dream world
where we can make our cash
I'm glad you forgot about
that other plan..something
about cat burglar..(laughing)
I never forget about the plan
DeleteActually came up with a new one I'm a fan
But a bit underhanded I suppose
So I will file it away in my criminal rows
A screamer you say?
My not shy at your bay hahahaha
Think I'd let that go?
here at you show
I was hoping you would forgot that plan
Deletebut, now it seems you have a new one
in your land, will the cat have lots
of white sand, to squish between his toes
best you leave the screamer thing alone
or I will come to your shore and rant..
(laughing) have a great day at your bay...
Psssssst Pat... She's working on something special just for me. Doesn't that want to make you eat kitty litter haha
DeleteIf this IS a dream, it's a much nicer one than what I wrote about! Great rhythm, beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nico, nice of you to visit...
DeleteThis drips with passion, longing and emotion. Nicely done Truedessa.
ReplyDeleteHello,
DeleteThank you for the lovely comment.
There is an element of surprise in this for me because you've written a sensitive love poem, yet it is crisscrossed with dark images. I like that!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nice comment. I think with every dream there is a mixture of emotions.
DeleteYup! Trudessa, you sure evoke here a time of passion...is the word "unbridled". I remember when I dropped the reins, and my horse WAS unbridled. It is then I found the meaning of the word. --grin!
ReplyDeletePEACE!
Steve,
DeleteNice to see you again! "unbridled" I like that descriptive word - wild and free spirit..
peace to you as well...
The challenge in writing a letter to capture all the joy of love can be as difficult as capturing a dream - I like how your first stanza starts. I hope you got it down in that letter :-)
ReplyDeleteLetters can be hard to write even with the best intentions..thank you for visiting and the nice comment.
