Meet & Greet the Driftwoods

do you want to take a road trip
under a summer sky, hearts sigh 
past the  veil we silently slip 

here a driftwood band, let it rip 
along  the river trees grow high 
do you want to take a road trip

wild guitarist is rather  hip 
flaming star in a distant sky 
past the veil we silently slip 

ancient drummer has a good grip 
fast rhythm, apparitions float by 
do you  want to take a road trip 

nectar of music we can sip
drink from the well, it's never dry
past the veil we silently slip

to the Dirftwoods, hats we do tip
holding hands, above a soft cry
do you want to take a road trip
past the the veil we silently slip

    Thois is like taking a dance along the road.. Love how you used the rhythm of the Villanelle to present this dance between exciting places.

    Sipping the nectar of music. Beautiful. Yes, I would definitely love a road trip. Journey > destination, especially if said journey includes some great tunes.

      let their guitars rip with a good riff...smiling..
      I wrote one just about the guitarist..I will have

    Your Villanelle sounds beautifully, True! I like the repetition of "Do you want to take a road trip" line while adding more details in each verse - very cool! Makes me reevaluate if I really like to take that road. Moving and dancing poem, love it!
