summer days are fading away
my heart wishes for you to stay
fall begins its awakening
my love a gift un-wavering
dreaming of a cosmotic flight
beyond the stars forever bright
navigating heavenly grids
opening passageways well hid
crossing the vast milky way
intelligence amidst blue haze
mysteries of the seven stars
light of love, the universe ours
I want to bask in summer's glow
fall marches onward, this I know
dreams lead me to starlit places
filling the void of empty spaces
fall begins its awakening
my love a gift un-wavering
dreaming of a cosmotic flight
beyond the stars forever bright
navigating heavenly grids
opening passageways well hid
crossing the vast milky way
intelligence amidst blue haze
mysteries of the seven stars
light of love, the universe ours
I want to bask in summer's glow
fall marches onward, this I know
dreams lead me to starlit places
filling the void of empty spaces
Sure a fading and no matter how much one wants it to stay, will have to wait until the next June's return day. Dream places can hopefully be warm though.
ReplyDeleteSummer is a great time for stargazing! The days are warmer and longer. There is a sense of magic in the air, it feels like anything can happen!
DeleteSummer is fading - and winter is coming! But you can find starlit places in the glow of fall.
ReplyDeleteSummer is magical! Falll has its own beauty but, it is short and I don’t even want to think about winter. I want to dream in summers scents.
Deletethe sense come alive when the seasons change, and as you slide into shorter days, I am enjoying the longer days and warmer air, much love to you this Sunday
ReplyDeleteShadow enjoy your longer days and warmer air, much love to you as well.
DeleteI love the flow of this poem
ReplyDeleteThank you Jae...
DeleteHi Truedessa - summer has gone here ... we're in thick mist and rain - but the earth needs it ... to give that Autumn glow that we love in the Fall - delightful poem - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi Hilary - So many areas need the cooler weather and rain, the land is parched and needs a drink.
DeleteI want summer to be a bit longer too... but time just moves on.
ReplyDeleteMe too Bjorn - While I enjoy the autumn splendor of color it is short lived, then the leaves fall and the cold winter air comes.
DeleteOur fall rains have come and the forests are grateful. I hope all the fires are put out. I feel your love of summer in this poem.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry,
DeleteI know rain is needed in your area and it is a blessing to have, hopefully, fires can be put out and the forests once again breathe.
How are you my friend? I will email you...
This is beautiful!❤️ Summer here in my part of the world is excruciatingly hot and humid.. so I am looking forward to Autumn..
ReplyDeleteHi Sanaa,
DeleteWe have had some hot humid days here this summer but, I still love the season. Enjoy your autumn I am sure it will bring relief to the heat.
Love the linking of summer days with hidden pathways through the universe, an epic summation of the season.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting :0
DeleteA wonderful rhyme and cadence in this lovely, wistfully penned piece that tenderly articulates the bitter-sweet poignancy that so often accompanies the end of a passage and/or season.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy - I can feel the subtle changes.
DeleteYour poetry is always so mystic. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra
DeleteAn excellent rhyme and rhythm to this poem. It tells so evocatively about the passing of the seasons and the stars. The passing of summer and the bitterness and yes, the sweetness of the passing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Toni for your kind comment. I do feel passionate about the season and the stars.
DeleteDelightful – and I am glad to be anticipating Summer (though hoping it won't get TOO hot).
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer Rosemary.
Deletea delight to read. wonderful rhyme and cadence.
ReplyDeleteah, over here at the equator is always "summer", hot or rainy. that's why we wander whole year around in shorts, t-shirts and slippers. how i wish for cooler climes. :)
I guess no one wants 90 degree days everyday, but I like it on the warmer side.
DeleteWherever humans are they always want something better. Even with four seasons we moan yet others with hot, wet, windy and dry at any time in the year moan too. We are never contented like a dog with a bone and live for the day.
ReplyDeleteRobin, that is so true. You made me smile.
DeleteThere's a feel of a fairy tale here, where summer is the lover that stays for a brief while, and then the beloved mourns during the time they are apart.
ReplyDeleteha - could be something more woven in the words.
DeleteThis expresses my feeling exactly. I am always sad at the end of summer and always wish it would stay MUCH longer!! Well penned, Truedessa.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary, the warm weather seems to make me feel healthier.
DeleteThe end of summer is always sad. Lovely poem...wish we could just follow the sun.
ReplyDeleteFollowing the sun until the end of days...
DeleteThe end of summer as you describe it here is sad... but I certainly won't miss the heat waves we've been having.
ReplyDeleteI know there have been some extreme periods of heat. I think it's better than extreme periods of cold though.
DeleteTruly beautiful! Love these words!
ReplyDeleteThank you - Have a lovely week
