beats the hopes of dreamers
ancient ones offer counsel
mystical shamanic teachers
In the heart of the mountain
between birch and pine trees
resides a magical fountain
with owls eyes you will see
all you need do is
believe
In the heart of the mountain
receiving messages of healing
nature is alive and bouncing
exploring innermost feelings
exploring innermost feelings
In the heart of the mountain
wild spirits roam in the night
primal drums - resounding
primal drums - resounding
dreams come alive at twilight
all you need do is
believe

This is pure deliciousness. I love the rhythm of the poem, the way you let us hear the drumming from line to line, the way we get to see if we believe. And believe!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I would love to read this one as a short story. The details would be extra enthralling... the journey glorious!
That was supposed to be "And I believe!".
DeleteThanks Magaly, A short story, hmm pondering.
DeleteUplifting and rhythmic. It reads like a chant or song. I lean towards believing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Colleen. I am glad you can believe.
DeleteThis is right up my street - with uplifting words, hopes and dreams. A beautiful call to faith!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vivian - I believe dreams are a way of healing our souls.
DeleteThe drums beating the hopes of the dreamers, the mountains, the wild spirits and messages of healing - how wonderful. Through your words, i was there. Yes, i believe in it all. I echo Magaly, this would make a wonderful short story, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry, I knew you would believe as we have dreamed shared.
DeleteI want to believe... but I think I need to find my paths elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteBjorn, Do you not believe nature can heal your spirit? We must heal ourselves if we are to send positive vibrations outward and cause a ripple effect.
DeleteWhat path would you explore Bjorn?

I'm a long time believer. I have danced that way before and hope to do so many more times.
ReplyDeleteRommy - May you always dance..
DeleteThis is incredibly stunning!!💞 Especially love; "In the heart of the mountain wild spirits roam in the night primal drums - resounding dreams come alive at twilight."😊
ReplyDeleteSanaa - Thank you for your kind words and visit.
DeleteThe words and the rhythm caught me. I'd like to see the owl-eyed fountain...but I'm afraid that mostly what I see around here is clear-cut and concrete.
ReplyDeleteI believe in the mountains...and the healing that is there.
ReplyDeleteThe repeated first lines feels like a drum beat--so beautifully crafted

Believing certainly helps to bring it nearer to seeing it transformed to one's liking. True, missed our early morning presence at Pat's.
Hank
I love the dreaminess of this poem.
ReplyDeleteAhhh….Wondrous.
ReplyDeleteI most certainly believe in dreams and the unseen, yes! It seems especially that nature supports these things and inspires me greatly. Lovely, Truedessa. I'll have a conversation with you any time. :)
