December Magic

December Snow

Fresh snow
blankets the barren
 landscape, creating a path
to unknown wanderings
taking one step at a time

Cardinal

My heart heavy
as the fresh fallen snow
calling card of the season
red cardinal brightens the
mood of the day

Geese

Wild geese enjoying
the day, they worry not
about the chill in the air
basking in the noon sunlight
reflective in the moment

  3. How lovely to see a red cardinal. I dont think I ever have. Beautiful writing, True. We have no snow here - no rain either. Endless sun. Not normal rainforest weather. Spectacular sunsets.

  6. I particularly like that third poem. Geese have a goal and they stick to it, regardless of tomorrow.

  12. There's always a path to be found in the snow, but I love forging my own. Aren't cardinals beautiful? They seem to go with snow like cream to my coffee.
