I.
Sun father of the universe
giver of luxuriant light
warming hearts in poetic verse
sun father of the universe
today, how far must we traverse
to reach the foothills of twilight
sun father of the universe
giver of luxuriant light
II.
Moon mother of the universe
guardian of nocturnal light
smiling after the clouds disperse
moon mother of the universe
hopeful healing rays when life hurts
wings of heavenly dreams take flight
moon mother of the universe
guardian of nocturnal light
III.
Earth the child of the universe
guiding light of the sun and moon
spinning out of control - a curse?
earth the child of the universe
humans the world is getting worse
open your hearts, sing a new tune
earth the child of the universe
guiding light of the sun and moon

Light, peace and love always
We have not done well by what nurtures us.
ReplyDeleteNo we have not, we were given this beautiful planet full of wonders.
DeleteVery pretty reading here, Thank You. I almost chose these three. Sun and Moon, Earth's sun keeps us proper temperature and gives us light, Earth's moon steadies our rhythms, helps our gravities, (their are five major helps). Both are necessary for our way of life.

Deletethis was a lovely triolet set - I especially liked how you connected them as family
ReplyDeleteThank you Laura for hosting and the feedback.
DeleteGreat rhythm and you connected the three well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alex. The heavens are amazing
DeleteI wonder if there are any other tiny planets of tiny stars in other galaxies of the universe that have made the same utter balls up of life that we have.
ReplyDeleteA good question to ponder. The universe is vast so who knows?
DeleteRhyming and connecting they relate smoothly as expected of the prompt. Wonderful write, True!
