Driving my car in the morning light
turning on the radio to the sound of RUSH
we have freewill, can we decide right
sunrise arrives in stillness, a silent hush
Turning on the radio to the sound of RUSH
the melody closing in, closer to the heart
sunrise arrives in stillness, a silent hush
in the distance the moon slowly departs
The melody closing in, closer to the heart
my tears fall, listening to a love song
in the distance the moon slowly departs
wiping my eyes, I softly sing along….
My tears fall, listening to a love song
we have freewill, can we decide right
wiping my eyes, I softly sing along
driving my car in the morning light
written for Writer's Digest April-pad-challenge day 3
writing a poem to a musical act or artist poem
I decided to write to the band Rush as I heard
them on the radio today.
PS. I have been following the April-pad challenge at Writer's Digest

That is just awesome! A poem about Rush songs. They have such great, positive messages in their music.
