On small white wings
she flew
to the top of
the burnt red tree
basketful of golden
dream dust
sprinkling it
over a disappearing land
man sleeping on his
belly, concrete bed
white dove
hovering with love overhead
full moon face,
reflections in the night
golden hands
praying for morning sunlight

Hidden dreams?
ReplyDeleteAren't most dreams really encoded? That seems to be the gist of what I have read about them.
I had a dream about my brother-in-law last night. He used to love to go fishing, and I would go with him. He died back in 2000, but we went fishing last night... ;o)
I wonder what symbolism... what hidden meaning there is within that dream?
I hope you have had a great weekend!

Shoes,
DeleteSo glad to see you my friend. How are you? I would have to say most dreams are encoded you just have to try and find the answers.
How nice of your brother to come for a visit and doing something he loves to do. If that were my dream I would be happy. Fishing is symbolic and I think it would remind me to slow down and enjoy the quiet moments of life or perhaps, you are fishing for a new
understanding. I would be willing to explore this with you in more depths. Please email if you want to expand on this dream.
I hope you are enjoying the long holiday weekend!
Quite lovely, ethereal. Just like the image.
ReplyDeleteThank you Victoria!

That I know
As they glow
Within each screening
There in lies the meaning
Good Morning,
DeleteI do have a love for dreams
and riding moonbeams..
gazing at the stars listening
to strumming guitars in the night
waiting for the break of sunlight

DeleteOh! I just caught the clue in the title, too! "'Who' am I?" - very cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you but, I think you meant this to go under my Who am I poem.
DeleteWait, what happened to my first comment?
ReplyDeleteI wrote something like: "Well done! I thought 'owl' right away because my mind linked 'knowledge' to 'Athena' and thus to her symbolic bird. And after that hit in the first stanza, it seemed to fit for all the other ones!
Dreamy and beautiful....:-)
ReplyDeleteCarrie,
