Darkness surrounds the core of life
winter's sad death
seeds of new dreams
awaiting spring
Darkness fades in hours of sunlight
looking skyward
praying for hope

Slice of new age enlightenment

This is nice, T.D. I like how you transitioned from fall and winter into spring. I have my first two lines of a similar theme but using different mechanism still lingering in the back of my head. I may write after midnight.
ReplyDeleteAgain, I really like the way that you have explained it.

I love the progression in this that goes even deeper into the hope that is there. That first stanza is gorgeous and wise and really drew me all the way through. Beautiful poetry Truedessa! Peace & health to you as well. 🙏🌻
ReplyDeleteThose challenges always creep in, no matter the season.
ReplyDeleteWe certainly need that hope now.
ReplyDeleteYou have found a real slice of truth in this photo--and underline its stark dichotomy of opposites with hope. This is a late, sad spring, yet always in each other we can find hope.
ReplyDeleteI hope we all eat a slice of new age enlightenment. Stay well, my friend.
ReplyDelete"Darkness surrounds the core of life" -- Nice!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, the hope and the seeds of better times. The challenges are here, hopefully we will rise as well.
ReplyDeleteYou transported us from darkness to light ... beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI like the "new age enlightenment". A hopeful thought.
ReplyDeletePoets should always move and prod and challenge. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou found hope in this midnight apple.
ReplyDeleteYes, it seems blackness does surround the core of life. Good one, Trudessa!
ReplyDeleteDarkness may not be that bad though it can be a lot mystifying!. A good twis, True!
