Slice of Light in Darkness

Black Apple @ The Sunday Muse

Darkness surrounds the core of life
winter's sad death
seeds of new dreams
awaiting spring

Darkness fades in hours of sunlight
looking skyward
praying for hope
new realism

Slice of new age enlightenment
poets of thought
challenging us
apple of life

written for the The Sunday Muse
Thank you for visiting
wishing you peace & health

  1. This is nice, T.D. I like how you transitioned from fall and winter into spring. I have my first two lines of a similar theme but using different mechanism still lingering in the back of my head. I may write after midnight.
Again, I really like the way that you have explained it.

  2. I love the progression in this that goes even deeper into the hope that is there. That first stanza is gorgeous and wise and really drew me all the way through. Beautiful poetry Truedessa! Peace & health to you as well. 🙏🌻

  5. You have found a real slice of truth in this photo--and underline its stark dichotomy of opposites with hope. This is a late, sad spring, yet always in each other we can find hope.

  14. Darkness may not be that bad though it can be a lot mystifying!. A good twis, True!
