lone bottle of red Merlot
glass of emptiness

Thank you for visiting
A message of hope in a glass....I accept the invitation :)
ReplyDeleteThe wine and the blossoms make a red blend.
ReplyDeleteSipping on red too, as I read. I lift my glass in solidarity. We taste life as so many are losing theirs. A health official just predicted second wave in FALL. That gave me pause. That is a lot of staying indoors.
ReplyDeleteThose beautiful red cherry blossoms invite us to come out and enjoy, but all we can do is sit inside and sip the Merlot!
ReplyDeleteThose blossoms will eventually give way to red cherries, a glass full of hope in this poem!
ReplyDeleteTaste and enjoy as life has much to offer indeed
ReplyDeleteThe first stanza is so wistful, and the second turns it around. We really need to appreciate those small things at the moment.
ReplyDeleteSimple and peaceful, just what we need now.
ReplyDeleteI would love to cheer for spring... but there is so much death around us.
ReplyDeleteI sense hope in those cherry blossoms!
ReplyDeleteHave to hold on to Spring.
ReplyDeleteLove this. Sums up spring in our current situation.
ReplyDeleteLove those blossoms, would love to visit Japan to see them one day. Enjoyed your work, as always. :)
ReplyDeleteLove that 2nd verse😊
