Sunday Muse Image |
hesitant to gaze into your eyes
standing before you unfiltered
in the garden of love's paradise
my roots have
grown deeper
birdsong nesting in my head
does vulnerability make me weaker
feeling the ache of darkness
tempestuous storms bewitched us
beneath skies that were starless
in this moment face to face
will our limbs intertwine
in the heat of warmth embrace
reaching for you in the night
crows lurk to steal a dream
but, our eyes will usher in light
linking with The Sunday Muse
Thank you for visiting
love, light and calmness
Nice, Truedessa
ReplyDeleteLove that the last line definitively answers the question ... Great write.
ReplyDeleteWhere there is darkness there is always a flicker of light.
DeleteVery romantic, this light of love.
ReplyDeleteHappy you dropped by my blog today

Love and it’s complexity…
DeleteIn the garden of love's paradise, you just know intertwining is imminent!
ReplyDeleteHaha , true the vines/limbs seem to grow together in that garden.
DeleteI like your garden. "does vulnerability make me weaker(?)" gives room for being vulnerable or getting into the swing of things.
ReplyDelete..
Vulnerability a complex ingredient in love.
Delete"crows lurk to steal a dream" - dangerous to have crows near your dreams. They will steal just about anything.
ReplyDeleteHa crows indeed will try to steal what they can if it is useful…
DeleteI love the image of birds as translated into birdsong. Beautifully positive.
ReplyDeleteThank you!

DeleteSo beautiful. I especially love "my roots have grown deeper
ReplyDeletebirdsong nesting in my head."
Thank you my friend
DeleteThis is lovely and shivery--the lurking crows and the storms are palpable shadows across their potential happiness but I have believe in them. :)
ReplyDeleteSmiling thank you for seeing light
DeleteWondrous and purrfect word usage.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra
DeleteLove can certainly go/grow through dark times, and then there is light to guide us through it all. Love your interpretation of the image.
ReplyDeleteThe photo was inspiring - thank you
Delete'our eyes will usher in light' - what a beautiful way to close.
