Grooves in Flight

Mesmerized by your splendor

of grooved feathers

and mottled wings

gliding in lofty

Egyptian blue skies

my heart flutters

in bright sunlight

if only I could fly

I'd wing my way

to your faraway

shores and fervently

nest in the folds

of love's dream

  9. light and airy, filled with the sinuous lines of wishes, hope and flight .... lovely capture of that longing and wonder of it all - nothing like watching birds soaring and wheeling :)

  10. A beautiful poem. I love to watch the hawks soar on the updrafts. I saw one today as I drove down the road.
