The Sunday Muse |
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
what do you see, when you look at me
do you see more than a reflection
do you see the fine lines of time
do you see the depth of my soul
do you see my unfulfilled dreams
do you see me more than skin
do you see, my imperfections
do you see the hidden scars
do you see an expanding heart
do you see me for who I am
an apple half eaten, the fruit
of the spirit in need of healing
from the bruises of life....

Happy Sunday to All
Thank you for visiting
wishing all peace and healing
in a world filled with turmoil
We are all in need of healing from the bruises of life. This is utterly lovely Truedessa. Wishing you peace & healing as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Carrie for the lovely The Sunday Muse! Wishing you peace and warmth on a cold Sunday.
DeleteDarn life always leaves us with bruises...
ReplyDeleteHi Dezzie that is does, wishing you healing.
DeleteUse of repetition is so well done; drives it all home, right into that last line.
ReplyDeleteThanks Zander my mind sometimes likes to meander
DeleteI like the way you 'hammered' (in a good way) readers with questions. Well done, True.
ReplyDeleteThanks Helen I am in a pondering mood today’
DeleteI see an expanding heart....a visionary and a dreamer, with connections to the spirit world.
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend for seeing me!
DeleteMy left eye sees an accomplished poem writer, one whose writings are very thought provoking and easy to read.
ReplyDeleteMy right eyes sees blurry and untrustworthy, like looking through sunglasses with a permanent smudge that can't be wiped clean. (I have an appointment with an eye surgeon January 22 with cataract removed in my hopes.)
..
Hi Jim I see you with restored vision. Thank you for your kind words. Wishing you the best possible outcome.
DeleteThe repetition really drives this home!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I tend to like repetition. That is probably why I like writing to form occasionally,
DeleteRight now, does anyone see beyond the surface?
ReplyDeleteI don't know anymore, Alex. We are living in chaos and everyone is going through changes.
DeleteHave a great week!
Ah yes no first glance can be tgat fulfilling
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by to read mine
Happy New Year Trudessa
Much✨love
Hi Gillena
DeleteSometimes, we have to look closer to truly see.
Have a great week
Such an evocative write. We all hide behind a protective mask of some sort, created by the trials and tribulations of life. It takes time and caring to truly "see" someone!
ReplyDeleteBev, well said! Thanks for visiting
DeleteHealing and Love to everyone!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYes, I send healing and love to all. I am struggling to clean things in my mirror that haunt me.
ReplyDeleteSusie I think we all need healing and a bit of clearing. I hope those haunts flee and leave you free....
