Dusk to Dawn

Do not talk to me about reality
in the hours between dusk and dawn
instead write me a poetic rhapsody

night allows new dreams to take flight
there are no boundaries to be drawn
daring to reach the stars shining bright

do not talk to me about reality
how many hearts have felt the thorns
in a world full of sadness and tragedy

talk to me about love in the midnight light
heart to heart until life’s pain is gone
entwined in the arms of moon's delight

  1. Long talks in the night in the hours before dawn -- "heart to heart until life’s pain is gone" -- I love the soothing tones of the poem, and how you use the imperative voice to that end. Beautifully done, True.
