Embracing the Blues

artist unknown

the blues have a way of hitting you hard
especially when you hear  a weeping harp
they say it's all about rhythmic breathing
i  think it's a bit like making love, engaging
mouth, lips and tongue in musical dialogue
releasing tension with each breath

Nature's Chair for All to Share

Truedessa's Collection

come sit with me on nature's chair
open your mind to beauty outside
autumn trees have a story to share
sharp-shinned hawk, your guide

open your mind to beauty outside
there is a world of wondrous color
sharp-shinned hawk, your guide
open your eyes, see and discover

there is a world of wondrous color
behold, the spirited red dragonfly
open your eyes, see and discover
on iridescent wings, soaring high

behold, the spirited red dragonfly
can you feel  the winds of change
on iridescent wings, soaring high
whispering in a land now strange

can you feel  the winds of change
great ancestors know your feelings
whispering in a land now strange
come to the river for quiet healing

great ancestors know your feelings
rise up beneath emotional waters
come to the river for quiet healing
breakdown your inner borders

rise up beneath  emotional waters
autumn trees have a story to share
breakdown your inner borders
come sit with me on nature's chair

Beneath a Super-Moon

dancing beneath a super-moon
drum beats out a mystical tune
silhouettes sway in rays of light
restless souls in a mystic night

dreaming beneath a super-moon
wrapped in a warm silken cocoon
lucid visions bring forth delight
restless souls in a mystic night

singing beneath a super - moon
rhythmic melodies, blissful swoon
cosmic stars, burning golden bright
restless souls in a mystic night

Heart of Grace

wikimedia

Autumn swans swimming
sunlight now dimming
love rises in depths of night
finding grace in dreams
under soft moonbeams
together we can take flight

floating feather light
sweet songs of delight
entwined in a cosmic glow
darkness drifts away
in the warmth of day
before the winter snow blows

Right on Que

searching for the  bigger story of life
thought I'd find it at 21st Century Fox
driving through the gate in a pink Cadillac
wearing leopard capri's and cheap sunglasses
man enters on cue,  singing out the blues
baby, I have a song for you..

It's Been A While

Dancing in the rain Adrian Borda

it's been a while
since I've seen your smile
your words echo in moments of silence
I can still feel the pain & joy in the rain
I'll talk to you when I can

it's been a while
since we shared our thoughts
I gave you my heart, my soul
I let you into my secret world

It's been a while
since we dared to dream
caught in the magic of words
sleeping in sheets, curled

It's been a while
since I've seen your smile
your words echo in moments of silence
I can still feel the pain & joy in the rain
I'll talk to you when I can...

It's been a while
since,   I've heard your songs
entwined in the beauty of us
in stillness,  our notes swirled

It' s been a while
since,  you drifted away
I'm still here, waiting to fly
in the wings,  curtains furled

It's been a while
since I've seen your smile
your words echo in moments of silence
I can still feel the pain & joy in the rain
I'll talk to you when I can...

It's been a while
since, I sent you a smile
hope in a luminous sky
forgiveness in a misty pearl

Let us dance again and feel the rain!

Truedessa's Spookalicious Reads for October!

Happy Halloween!

Tonight the veil between the two worlds will be very thin, it might be a time to reach out to a departed one or maybe one will come to visit you. Perhaps, it is through a dream that the gateway is opened.

As many of you know I am quite intrigued with the paranormal and sci-fi world. I want to give a couple of authors a shout out for their books that I found fascinating to read this month.

First, Up a novella Lost and Found  by Brandon Meyers & Bryan Pedas - you can  find them here.  A Beer for the Shower.

This book is a paranormal thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat, I didn't want to put it down. It is written in a unique style as the book is in two parts. If you want to read a spooktacular tale on Halloween this one is perfect.  A quick easy read filled with paranormal activity. Just be careful when you turn out the lights, as you never know what might happen!

Second, Is Soulless by Crystal Collier you can find her at her blog   Crystal Collier
This is the second in her trilogy. She has created a unique blend of characters in a supernatural world. She gives the reader a real adventure in this mystifying series. I am looking forward to her third release on November 1st.

One More Dream

free images

please, just one more dream
will you bestow a precious rose
let us sing, under moonbeams

silent memories, dying scream
tears of sorrow, has time froze
please, just one more dream

songs drift along the stream
from your lips, a melody flows
let us sing, under moonbeams

healing pools, eyes softly gleam
thorns no longer pierce, love grows
please, just one more dream

heartfelt prose, key words redeem
rays of light, celestial spirits glow
let us sing, under moonbeams

in a slumber, all is not as it seems
i wish not for love to decompose
please, just one more dream
let us sing, under moonbeams
