yearning
reflective pond
restoring weary souls
leaving wishes, secret
desires
stillness
autumn
tranquility
hidden sanctuary
shifting season,
transformation
calmness
fall's song
harvesting dreams
whispering melodies
bright tones, orange,
yellow, red
we sing

hey i am all about singing...and fall...i like those little hidden places where you can slip away and find peace...there is a nice zen in those first 2 stanzas....
ReplyDeleteHi Brian,
DeleteThis place is actually very beautiful I have been there and found great peace.
Could it be the pond for the fountain of youth? Good read Truedessa. >KB
ReplyDeleteAh, It is a healing pond for sure..
DeleteNice. Filled with the colorful images of autumn. :-)
ReplyDelete-HA
thank you for visiting..
DeleteThese words sing to me in a way that restores me much as the pond itself would, were I standing at its edge.
ReplyDeleteSherry,
DeleteThis pond is a restorative place for the soul.
A hidden place
ReplyDeleteI could embrace
Away I'd go
Hidden as the leaves blow
Aww so nice indeed
be nice to take seed
Ah you would like this place
Deletehidden away, gentle breeze
touching your face...in the
stillness you can hear your
thoughts...
I specially like the last stanza ~ The colors of autumn brings a time of tranquility and quiet reflections ~ Have a lovely week ahead ~
ReplyDeleteThank you Grace..enjoy your week as well...
DeleteVery nice. I love the structure & flow of this! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Katie...
DeleteHello Truedessa!
ReplyDeleteOur Community Hospital has a reflective lake is home to a few dozen
Muscovy ducks. But that lake has restored more people from their suffering (and sin!) than the hospital chaplain.
Thanks for descriptive writing--and my memory....
PEACE and LIGHT
Good Morning Steve,
DeleteI always enjoy reading your comments..thanks for visiting..
Peace & Light my friend...
A lovely song to sing:)
ReplyDeleteThank you care to sing with me...
DeleteThis is a really tranquil piece of writing - and I enjoyed it very much. Isn't it amazing that autumn/fall which is a time when things are dying and/or going into hibernation is a time of such beauty?
ReplyDeleteI agree..the changing landscape is a natural wonder as it comes alive with vibrant hues..mother nature has a beautiful paintbrush..
DeleteYou have captured the feeling of fall, the changes taking place, the colors. This will be a nice poem to look back at in a month or so when the trees are bare totally of leaves.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
DeleteThe leaves are starting to fall more here so we have some bare trees already in some areas.
wonderful calmness -- like going to sleep... here in Sweden we are past that time.. leaves have left. Soon all is grey and brown.. but this part of autumn fill my with tranquillity just like your poem
ReplyDeleteHi Bjorn,
DeleteIt is so beautiful when the trees are at their peak but, sadly that time is drifting away and soon we will go into the bareness of winter.
Exquisite portrait of late autumn and the serenity, reflectiveness it evokes.
ReplyDeleteVictoria, thank you for such a lovely comment.
DeleteTruly Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
